Dr Bernie Rouse is a principal GP at Western House medical centre. 

Dr Rouse is a graduate of University College Cork, is on the Specialist register of General Practice and is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners.

Her special interests also include Child Health, Women's health, Medicine for the Elderly and Mental Health.

Dr Kevin Kelly is a Principal Partner in Western House Medical Centre General Practice. Dr Kevin Kelly graduated from UCD in 1992. He worked in the Mater Misericordiae Hospital Endocrinology and Cardiovascular departments and then joined the South East General practice training programme. He worked in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Medicine and Emergency Medicine.  Dr Kevin Kelly completed his general practice training in 1996 and received the Ellard Eppel award. He won first place in Ireland in the Irish College of General Practictioners exams. He added the Roche Syntax research award for best research in diabetes in 1996. He worked in Kilkenny and Wexford before moving to Clonmel in 1997.

Dr Kelly completed  post graduate training in minor surgery in Belfast and provides weekly minor surgical  services in the practice removing all types of skin lesions , ingrown toe nails etc.. The practice has recently being among the first practices in Ireland to receive accreditation from the ICGP and Dr Kelly is a member of the Primary care surgical association. The practice offers an extensive minor surgical service including joint injections for arthritis.

Dr Kelly set up General practice cardiovascular strategy now known as Heartwatch which has been shown to reduce mortality and morbidity from cardiovascular disease. Western House medical centre continue to offer this service together with holter monitoring, 24hr blood pressure monitoring and cardiac risk assessment. WHMC also offers a comprehensive Diabetes cycle of care for all patients.

Dr Kevin Kelly is a trainer of General practitioners with the Irish College of General practice. This involves training GPs in all aspects of medicine. This has facilitated the ongoing education of all practice staff.  GP training in Ireland is among  the best training programmes in Europe and graduates are highly sought after worldwide. This has enabled Dr Kelly keep up to date with the most recent advances in medicine.

 Dr Kelly has an avid interest in sports and sport medicine. He continues to participate in tennis and cycling. He is married to Susan and has five boys who are active in all sports including Rugby, GAA, soccer, Horse riding, tennis, swimming, cycling etc. Dr Kelly played with Limerick county teams and won a senior county football medal with Clonmel Commercials. He has managed numerous teams to South and County titles with his present club, Kilsheelan Kilcash. Dr Kelly's personal interest in sport has driven his education in sports medicine and he offers gait analysis for all ages in WHMC.

Apart from the interest outlined above, Dr Kelly has a special interest in Respiratory medicine and offers spirometry  to asses lung age and facilitate  appropriate treatments. He also has an  interest in occupational health,  methadone treatments and the management of depression.

Dr Morrissey is from Bansha Co. Tipperary and qualified as a doctor from Trinity College Dublin in 2001. He joined the practice in 2005. He a special interest in Occupational Medicine and is the company doctor for a number of local companies.

He also completed further qualifications in Substance Misuse and has a special interest in treating additions. Brian is actively involved in GP training in the South East.

He is married to Maria and they have five children.

Originally from Donohill, Co Tipperary and a graduate of UCD Medical School in 1997. She completed her General Practice Training in Bristol, England in 2003 and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioner.

Dr Maria has a keen interest in all aspects of Women’s Health. She is up date in all areas from contraception, pregnancy planning though to menopause. Along with a certificate in Family Planning, Dr Maria is a training tutor for long active contraception and provides patients with a variety of coil placements. She is proficient in Mirena, Kyleena and copper coil placements for both contraception and emergency contraception.

Dr Maria has completed specialist Sexual Health Training which provides both testing and treatments for patients in this area. A confidential discreet clinic is run at Western House Medical.

Holding a certificate in Travel Medicine allows Dr Maria along with other GP's provide full range of pre-travel advice, including full range of vaccines including Yellow Fever. 

Finally, Dr Maria with her experience in General Practice also holds a Diploma in Child Health and Clinical Psychiatry which compliments her knowledge for providing care to all our patients.

Originally from Limerick, a graduate of UCD medical school in 2002, Dr Breen completed four years of post-graduate specialised training in general practice in the south-east region.

He has extensive experience in the hospital systems both in Ireland and Australia and has over 10 years’ experience in general practice both in Ireland and Australia. This experience includes internal medicine, paediatrics, psychiatry and emergency medicine. He is currently a member of the Irish College of General Practice and registered on the specialist register with the medical council of Ireland. He holds additional qualifications in child health (Dip.CH) and in family planning (FPC) with further training in long-acting contraceptive use (Implanon device).

He is a keen sports enthusiast with a particular interest in athletics, cycling, rugby and Gaelic football. In addition, he has previous professional experience working as medical doctor for Waterford united football team. In Western House Medical Centre, he provides all general practice services and has additional interest in paediatrics, men's health, joint injections, minor surgery, implanon device use and sports injuries.

Nurse Susan Kelly completed her General Nurse Training in 1991 at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Dublin, receiving a Gold Medal in Nursing. She then worked as a staff nurse in Orthopaedics and Spinal Injuries while undertaking a post graduate diploma in Pathology from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She then undertook her Post-graduate speciality training in Intensive Care Nursing at the Mater Hospital, completing in 1994. Moving to Waterford Regional Hospital, after a brief return to orthopaedics, she was appointed Clinical Nurse Specialist in Pain Management. She subsequently completed a diploma in Information Technology from Dublin City University in 2001. Moving to Practice Nursing having taken a career break to raise her family, she now has a particular interest in Women's Health, Sexual Health, Management of Haemochromatosis and Respiratory Diagnostics.

Susan is married to Kevin and has five sons, who keep her on toes when she is not at Western House Medical Centre.
