Doctor Appointments
We operate an appointment system and encourage patients where possible to see the same doctor. This is best practice and provides for continuity of care.
Please advise the receptionist who your usual doctor is when you ask for an appointment.
The doctors try to keep to time but this is not always possible due to the complexity and seriousness of some conditions. We therefore request your patience in such circumstances.
Emergency Appointment requests
We accommodate all urgent medical problems as they arise. Our Staff will need to establish some medical details in order to deal appropriately with urgent requests. We will then be in a position to direct your request accordingly.
Practice Nurse Appointments
Our practice nurses are qualified to provide many services including performing smears, ear syringing and phlebotomy (taking blood). It may be more appropriate to make an appointment with our nurse rather than a doctor for services such as these.
Cancellation of Appointments
If you cannot attend for an appointment, please cancel as soon as possible. This will allow the appointment time to be offered to another patient. You can phone the surgery or email cancel@westwell.ie with relevant details (Patient name, DOB, appointment time and GP/nurse appointment is with). Thank you
