Heartwatch Clinic

heartandstethoscopeThe Heartwatch Programme is a national programme which is designed to monitor and assist patients who have had a previous cardiac event i.e. heart attack, bypass surgery, stent. The clinic assesses risk factors such as weight, blood pressure, cholesterol,  smoking and advises and supports patients to make lifestyle modifications to reduce their risk factors in order to avoid further cardiac events.

Our HEARTWATCH Programme involves quarterly visits to the nurse and some doctor visits. It includes blood tests, ECG’s and 24 hour BP monitoring. We currently provide the service free of charge to GMS patients.

If you feel you are eligible and wish to take part in the programme please contact us.
