FLU Vaccinations

On line booking system is currently closed.

The Flu vaccine is free of charge if you are in one of the recommended eligible groups. If you are unsure about your eligibility, then please ask a secretary when booking your appointment. We have available appointments for all ages and you can book an appointment by contacting the surgery on 052 6125312.

Flu Vaccine Information

COVID Booster Vaccine (pfizer)

The eligibility criteria for the booster vaccine has changed since 16th November 2021. All patients over the age of 50 years old are entitled to a booster vaccine.

In all circumstances there must be greater than a 5 month period between your last dose administered of the pfizer vaccine and the COVID Booster Vaccine (3 months for Janssen vaccine). 

If you've had a COVID-19 infection within the past 6 months, you cannot get the booster vaccine

We have a clinic on Monday 6th December. If you are over 50 years old (and eligible - see above) or have received a text message from us, you can book into the clinic. 

                                                  

PCR & Antigen Testing 

We are offering a PCR swab test which detects active presence of the virus i.e. shows that you currently have COVID-19. These tests are fully compliant with government guidelines. Results within 24-48 hours

The Fee for the PCR test is only €160. 

The Rapid Antigen test  - results in about 20 minutes.

The Fee is €70

We are continuing to see patients and provide our usual medical services, but by appointment only. 

We are experiencing a large volume of calls at present. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this extremely busy period. Please be aware, it is our policy to remove patients from our practice who are abusive, aggressive or disparaging towards staff, whether it is verbal or through a social media platform.

Cervical Screening

The Cervical Screening programme has restarted and is being reintroduced on a phased basis. Please visit https://www2.hse.ie/screening-and-vaccinations/cervical-screening/cervical-screening-coronavirus.html to check if you are due a test. Cervical Check are sending out invitation letters from 6th July 2020 for routine appointments. When you receive your invitation letter, please contact us to make an appointment.

Prescriptions

Medical Card patients can now order their repeat prescriptions on line, by registering for the service through our website portal. We will email your prescription to your nominated pharmacy. There is no need to attend the practice to order or collect your prescription. Please allow 48 hours before collecting your prescription from your pharmacy. 

Social Welfare Certs

We email all social welfare certificates directly to the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection. 

We are an eight doctor practice which includes two registrars in training. We aim to provide high quality primary medical care that meets or exceeds our patients expectations and  have a patient centred approach that aims to deliver as much community based medical care as possible.

We have specific management programmes for heart disease, diabetes, asthma, women’s health and many more. We also provide specialist services such as: minor surgery, executive health checks, travel medicine, counselling and psychotherapy to name a few.
